One giveaway for every platform you are live on

Every chat-based giveaway breaks when you multistream, and it breaks quietly: the tool reads one chat, so half your audience is entering something they cannot win and nobody tells them.

How do you run a giveaway while multistreaming?

Use an entry route that is not a chat command. A bot reads one platform’s chat, so a multistream needs either two separate giveaways or one entry method that lives on the video itself — a code on screen, which every viewer can see and use regardless of where they are watching.

What you’ll build

A single draw, one pool of entries, entered identically by viewers on every platform you are broadcasting to.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Understand what actually breaks

A giveaway bot is connected to one chat. If you are live on Twitch and YouTube at once, it sees one of them — so the YouTube audience types the command into a room the bot is not in. They are not told that. They believe they entered, they did not, and you find out when one of them says so afterwards.

  2. 2

Rule out the two obvious workarounds

Running two giveaways means two pools, two winners and a sentence you have to repeat all stream about which one people are in. Running it only on your main platform means telling the other audience the giveaway is not for them, which is a strange message to send people who chose to watch you somewhere else.

  3. 3

Put the entry on the video, not in the chat

This is the only thing that spans platforms, because the video is the one thing every viewer is definitely receiving. A QR code and a six-character code on your overlay are visible to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok and anybody watching a restream you do not even control. Everyone enters the same draw.

Say the code out loud as well. A viewer on a phone in portrait may have the stream at a size where six characters are hard to read.

  4. 4

    Say it once, for everybody

"Scan the code or go to kloot.gg/join" is a single instruction that is true on every platform. That is the practical win — you stop maintaining two explanations, and the newer audience on your smaller platform gets the same giveaway as the one on your main one.

  5. 5

Pick which platform your rules name

One honest limitation. The generated rules include a platform disclaimer, and a giveaway has one platform setting rather than a list — so if you are live on Twitch and YouTube, you choose which platform’s disclaimer the rules carry. Twitch is the one with a specific required sentence, so if Twitch is in your multistream, set it to Twitch.

  6. 6

Draw once, in front of everyone

The draw is on the overlay, so it happens simultaneously on every platform you are sending video to. The winner claims on their own phone rather than in a chat you might not be reading, which is the other half of the problem multistreaming creates.

How a giveaway plays out, live

Setup is done — this is the five-beat run, start to finish. You fire two keys; the overlay and your audience do the rest.

  1. You fire it· step 1

    Launch the giveaway

Press Launch on your deck the moment the stream is hot. A prize card drops onto your overlay with a QR code and a short join code — entry is open.

    You: Press Launch
Overlay: Prize card + QR appear
    Viewers: Sees how to enter
  2. Entries pour in· step 2

    Viewers enter in one tap

They scan the QR or type the code at kloot.gg/join — no account, no chat command, any platform. The entry counter climbs live while you keep playing.

    You: Nothing — keep playing
    Overlay: Entry count rises
    Viewers: Scan / enter code
  3. You fire it· step 3

    Draw the winner

When the timer ends — or you decide the room is ready — press Draw. The spin wheel takes over the overlay and spins for real. This is the hype beat.

    You: Press Draw
    Overlay: Spin wheel runs
    Viewers: Watches the spin
  4. The payoff· step 4

    Winner revealed

The wheel lands and the winner’s name locks onto the card. If you pre-loaded prize codes, Kloot emails the winner their code the same second — no post-stream chasing.

    Overlay: Winner + prize shown
    Viewers: Winner gets an email
  5. You close it· step 5

    Deliver & clear

Press once to clear the card off screen and you’re back to the game. If the prize was brand-funded, screenshot the result and export the entry list as clean proof for the sponsor.

    You: Press to clear
    Overlay: Card clears
    Viewers: Prize already sent

When to drop a giveaway

A giveaway is a spike you control. The moments where it pays off most:

Hit a follower or sub goal

When: You just crossed a milestone and the chat is buzzing.

Why it works: Turns a number into a moment and rewards the exact people who got you there — the spike keeps them around.

Sponsor-funded drop

When: A brand puts up the prize as part of a deal.

Why it works: You run it, export the entry list as proof of a real activation, and the sponsor sees measurable reach — easy to renew.

Welcome a raid

When: A big raid just landed on your stream.

Why it works: One-tap entry with no signup converts drive-by viewers into followers before they wander off.

Charity or event stream

When: A fundraiser, tournament, or one-off event.

Why it works: A prize drives donations and entries; an Event Pass covers full Pro for the day without a subscription.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • ✕Running a chat-command giveaway while multistreaming, where one audience enters nothing.
  • ✕Running two parallel giveaways and spending the segment explaining which one people are in.
  • ✕Forgetting that the rules carry one platform disclaimer — pick the strictest one that applies.
  • ✕Showing the code without reading it out, on platforms where most viewing is vertical.

Frequently asked

Can a giveaway bot work across two platforms?

Not as one draw. A bot is connected to a chat, so multistreaming means either two separate giveaways with two pools, or one audience entering a room the bot is not in and being told nothing.

How does one giveaway reach every platform?

By living on the video instead of in a chat. A QR and a join code on your overlay are visible to every viewer wherever they are watching, and they all enter the same pool through the same page.

Does it work with restreaming services?

Yes, including restreams you do not control — anything that carries your video carries the code. That is the side-effect of entry being part of the picture rather than part of a platform integration.

Which platform disclaimer should my rules use?

A giveaway carries one platform setting, so pick the one with the strictest requirement. Twitch publishes a specific sentence you must reproduce, so if Twitch is in your multistream, set the rules to Twitch and satisfy the hardest case.

Will viewers on the smaller platform actually enter?

They tend to over-index, in our experience of watching entry sources — a viewer on your secondary platform is often a more deliberate viewer. The point is that nothing structural stops them, which was not true with a chat command.
