Put your own clips, frames and sounds on a deck key

Upload your own video, images and sounds, put each one on a deck key, and fire it live — your artwork on screen instead of somebody else’s preset.

Your deck

Playing itself — press any key to take over.

Real files on real keys — a transparent WEBM, two frames, a still and four sounds, played by the same overlay renderer OBS gets. Sound is off until you turn it on.

Your overlay pack. On a button.

Every other tool in Kloot draws something Kloot designed. Media draws whatever you upload — the stinger your designer cut, the frame you commissioned, the sound you bought. Drop the files in, put them on keys, and fire them without leaving your game. Transparent WEBM composites properly over gameplay, and it all rides the browser source you already added.

Why streamers use it

Included on the Free plan (small Kloot watermark until you upgrade).

Your files, not our presets

A deck full of generic effects gives a streamer who already has branding nothing of their own to fire. Upload the artwork you already paid for and put it on a key instead.

Real transparency

Alpha-channel WEBM composites cleanly over your gameplay — the subject cut out, the scene visible through it. No black box, no matte, no chroma key to tune.

Fire it, or hold it

A stinger plays once and clears itself. A webcam frame or a music bed stays until you press the key again — and a held clip loops instead of stopping after one pass.

Sounds are free

Upload an MP3, put it on a key, press it. Sound effects are on every plan including Free, and several can overlap — the audio path has no concurrency cap.

Know what you are firing

Video thumbnails play on the key itself, so two alerts from the same pack are told apart by motion rather than a near-empty first frame. Listen to any clip in the panel before it ever goes out.

No new browser source

Media rides the single Kloot overlay URL already in your scene. It changes what is inside that source — it does not add one, and it does not remove the sources your other software needs.

Add it in three steps

One browser source powers Media and all 12 other tools.

1

Add your Kloot overlay to OBS once

Paste your single Kloot overlay URL into a Browser source in OBS, Streamlabs, or anything that supports browser sources. If it is already in your scene from another tool, Media is already wired in.

2

Upload your files

Drag in PNG, WEBM, MP4, GIF or MP3 — several at once. Kloot probes each one for duration, size and transparency before it uploads, so a file that will not work says so immediately instead of failing halfway.

3

Pin it to a key and press it

Set the mode, position and size, then pin it to your deck. The key wears the clip’s own artwork. Press it from your browser or your phone — nothing fires on its own.

How-to

Media quick tutorials

Short, focused how-tos for the small things that make a big difference.

1

Upload your first clip

  1. 1.Open the Media tool and press Add media.
  2. 2.Drag in a PNG, WEBM, MP4 or MP3 — or several at once.
  3. 3.Confirm you have the right to use the file, and let it upload.
2

Choose Fire or Hold

  1. 1.Open the item in the editor.
  2. 2.Pick Fire for something that plays once — a stinger or an alert.
  3. 3.Pick Hold for something that stays up — a webcam frame or a music bed. Held clips loop.
3

Hear a clip before it goes out

  1. 1.Open a clip that has an audio track.
  2. 2.Press Listen next to the preview.
  3. 3.It plays to you only — your viewers are unaffected, and it does not change the broadcast level.
4

Pin it to your deck

  1. 1.Press the pin icon on the item row.
  2. 2.Choose a key on your deck page.
  3. 3.The key takes the clip’s own artwork and plays it, so you can find it at a glance.

Media — frequently asked

What file types can I upload?

Images (PNG including APNG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, SVG), video (WEBM and MP4), and audio (MP3, OGG, WAV). QuickTime .MOV is accepted too and converted to WEBM for you — that conversion is a Creator feature.

Does transparency actually work?

Yes, with an alpha-channel WEBM (VP8 or VP9). The subject renders cut out with your scene visible through it. A plain MP4 has no alpha channel to preserve, so it will show as a rectangle — that is a property of the format, not of Kloot.

Can I fire a sound effect on the free plan?

Yes. Sound effects are on every plan including Free. You will need “Control audio via OBS” ticked on the Kloot browser source, or the sound plays to you and not to your stream. A full soundboard is a question of item count, not capability — Free holds two items, Creator holds 50.

How much can I upload on the free plan?

Two items, video clips up to 60 seconds, and 25 MB per file. Creator raises that to 50 items and 5-minute clips, and Pro to 200 items. Storage is a flat 500 MB on every plan.

Does Media add another browser source?

No. It runs through the same single Kloot overlay URL as every other tool, so if your overlay is already in your scene there is nothing new to add. It does not reduce your source count either — it changes what is inside the source you already have.

Does anything fire automatically?

No. Kloot has no chat integration and no event triggers on any platform. Every clip, frame and sound is fired by you pressing a key on your deck or your phone.

Which plan is Media on?

Media is on the Free plan — two items, 60-second clips, and sound effects included, with a small Kloot watermark. Creator ($15/mo) removes the watermark and raises it to 50 items with .MOV conversion; Pro ($25/mo) goes to 200.
