When your platform has no giveaway tools at all

Every giveaway guide assumes Twitch. If you stream somewhere smaller, the honest situation is that the bots, the extensions and the integrations were built for someone else — and the platform itself may not be there next year.

How do you run a giveaway on a platform with no giveaway tools?

Use an entry route that does not depend on the platform. Chat bots, extensions and integrations are built per-platform and mostly for Twitch. A code shown on your video is carried by the video itself, so it works anywhere you can broadcast — including platforms nobody has built for.

What you’ll build

A giveaway that works on any platform, and that you do not have to rebuild if you move.

Step by step

  1. 1

Accept that the tooling is not coming

Bot ecosystems follow audience size, and the gap is enormous. A platform outside the top few has no giveaway bots worth the name, no extension directory, and no reason for anyone to build one. Waiting for that to change is not a plan, and the workarounds people reach for — reading a chat window, counting comments — are the ones that fail in public.

  2. 2

Be realistic about how long a platform lasts

This category churns hard. Two platforms streamers regularly asked about closed in 2026: DLive ceased operations in April, and Trovo shut down its livestreaming service on 30 June to focus on its games business. That is not a reason to avoid smaller platforms — it is a reason not to build your giveaway on anything platform-specific, because the integration dies with the platform.

If a tool asks you to connect an account to a specific platform, that is the part you will have to redo.

  3. 3

Put the entry in the picture

The one thing every platform carries identically is your video. A QR code and a short join code on screen are visible to anyone receiving the broadcast, whatever they are watching it on — and they enter on their own phone, on a page that has nothing to do with the platform.

  4. 4

Run it without OBS if you need to

Smaller platforms often mean simpler setups — streaming from a phone, or from the platform’s own studio rather than OBS. The whole giveaway also runs in a browser window you can share as a screen or a scene, with the prize, the code, a large QR and the live count. No browser source required.

  5. 5

Write your own rules, and check the platform’s

The generated rules cover eligibility, the age limit, how the winner is drawn and who is running it, on every plan. The platform-specific disclaimer is the part to check yourself: only Twitch’s required sentence is built in, so if your platform publishes its own promotion terms, read them and add what they ask for.

  6. 6

Keep the proof somewhere that outlives the platform

Each draw publishes a results page with its own receipt. That matters more here than anywhere: if the platform closes, your chat logs and VODs go with it, and the record of what you gave away and to whom does not. It is also the answer when a smaller audience — which is usually a closer one — asks how the winner was picked.

How a giveaway plays out, live

Setup is done — this is the five-beat run, start to finish. You fire two keys; the overlay and your audience do the rest.

  1. You fire it· step 1

    Launch the giveaway

Press Launch on your deck the moment the stream is hot. A prize card drops onto your overlay with a QR code and a short join code — entry is open.

    You: Press Launch
Overlay: Prize card + QR appear
    Viewers: Sees how to enter
  2. Entries pour in· step 2

    Viewers enter in one tap

They scan the QR or type the code at kloot.gg/join — no account, no chat command, any platform. The entry counter climbs live while you keep playing.

    You: Nothing — keep playing
    Overlay: Entry count rises
    Viewers: Scan / enter code
  3. You fire it· step 3

    Draw the winner

When the timer ends — or you decide the room is ready — press Draw. The spin wheel takes over the overlay and spins for real. This is the hype beat.

    You: Press Draw
    Overlay: Spin wheel runs
    Viewers: Watches the spin
  4. The payoff· step 4

    Winner revealed

The wheel lands and the winner’s name locks onto the card. If you pre-loaded prize codes, Kloot emails the winner their code the same second — no post-stream chasing.

    Overlay: Winner + prize shown
    Viewers: Winner gets an email
  5. You close it· step 5

    Deliver & clear

Press once to clear the card off screen and you’re back to the game. If the prize was brand-funded, screenshot the result and export the entry list as clean proof for the sponsor.

    You: Press to clear
    Overlay: Card clears
    Viewers: Prize already sent

When to drop a giveaway

A giveaway is a spike you control. The moments where it pays off most:

Hit a follower or sub goal

When: You just crossed a milestone and the chat is buzzing.

Why it works: Turns a number into a moment and rewards the exact people who got you there — the spike keeps them around.

Sponsor-funded drop

When: A brand puts up the prize as part of a deal.

Why it works: You run it, export the entry list as proof of a real activation, and the sponsor sees measurable reach — easy to renew.

Welcome a raid

When: A big raid just landed on your stream.

Why it works: One-tap entry with no signup converts drive-by viewers into followers before they wander off.

Charity or event stream

When: A fundraiser, tournament, or one-off event.

Why it works: A prize drives donations and entries; an Event Pass covers full Pro for the day without a subscription.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • ✕Waiting for a bot ecosystem that follows audience size and is not coming.
  • ✕Choosing a tool that connects to one platform, then having to redo it after a move.
  • ✕Picking winners out of a live chat window, which is not a record anywhere.
  • ✕Assuming a generated rules block covers your platform’s own promotion terms.

Frequently asked

Which platforms does this work on?

Any of them, because entry is a code shown on your video rather than an integration with a platform. That includes Rumble, platforms with no bot ecosystem at all, a restream you do not control, and a room with a projector.

Is it worth streaming on a smaller platform at all?

That is your call and this page will not pretend to make it. What it will say is that two of the ones people asked about most — DLive and Trovo — closed in 2026, so it is worth choosing tools that do not have to be replaced if you move.

Do I need OBS?

No. The giveaway runs in a browser window you can share, which suits streaming from a phone or from a platform’s own studio software. If you do use OBS, one browser source carries it.

What about the platform’s promotion rules?

Read them — most platforms of any size publish something. The generated rules cover the general terms; the only platform-specific disclaimer built in is Twitch’s, so anything your platform requires beyond that is yours to add.

What happens to my giveaway history if the platform closes?

Nothing — it is not stored there. Every draw has its own results page and receipt on kloot.gg, which is the one part of a giveaway that survives a platform shutting down.
