The charity death counter setup

The count and the cause in one number. Set the rate, press once per death, and the overlay does the arithmetic in front of the people you are asking to match it.

How do you run a charity stream where deaths raise money?

Add a Kloot counter, set money display to your rate — $1 a death — and press +1 each time you go down. The overlay shows the running total in your currency. It is a display you set the rate for; the pledge and the collection happen wherever you already take donations.

Frequently asked

Does Kloot handle the donations?

No. The counter shows a total you have set a rate for. Donations go through whatever you already use — any link you add stays in your panel, never on stream.

Can a sponsor match the deaths?

On Pro you can add a “brought to you by” row from one of your Sponsors inside the counter, with the Sponsored label. Every death is another look at it.

What does a weekend cost?

An Event Pass is $9 for three days. Creator is $15/mo and Pro $25/mo if you run events regularly.
